Careers Year 12

Year 12

Students in year 12 can attend sessions on 'interview technique', 'CV writing' university life and higher and degree level apprenticeships. They will be expected to use the National Careers service and our propriety software ‘e-clips’ to research careers they are interested in. In addition they will have the opportunity to attend ‘world of work’ sessions with people from the career fields they are interested in. they will attend an in-school careers fair, with over 30 representatives from further and higher education institutions, local and national businesses and the service sector. There will also be opportunities to evidence their employability skills with a work experience week, a student leadership course and a number of community based voluntary projects.

Year 12 students who would benefit from a face to face careers interview with an advisor will be given an appointment that parents are welcome to attend. The careers coordinator will be available at parents’ evenings and can be contacted via the school office.
